| | | Top up your feeders. It looks as though we're in for a bit of cold weather this weekend. I was just going to work when I realised that my feeders were almost empty after filling them up on Tuesday! So I'm just dropping a gentle reminder to keep them topped up as I suspect the birds know what's on the way.
Water too, just as important.
Time to get out the thermals I think.

| | | Re: Top up your feeders. That's always the first job I do in the morning even before I have my breakfast etc, I was out in the wind this morning in my boots with my jacket over my dressing gown topping up feeders, letting my chickens out etc, luckily where we are neighbours can't see

I don't care what the neighbours think .... I presume they think I'm a nutter anyway as I saw them watching me wearing my head mounted torch when I feed the hedgies at night!! |

I went out last night and bought two more seed feeders because I thought I they might want more I bought a lovely seed mix with hemp and sunflower hearts in. Set up my new feeder on a station pole hidden in the Rose bush where the Finches like to flit about- filled that with Niger seed, obviously. Filled the two massive nut feeders up for the Woodies, fat balls all round.
Those lucky birdies

I'm sure the neighbours have a field day with my nocturnal antics. The next door kids nearly fall out of their window watching me when I'm just doing a bit of gardening in daylight. God knows what they think when they spot a glimpse of torchlight moving around outside in darkness. We have a miners torch somewhere. I MUST find it and give them something to really look at.
Oops, forgot to answer the post - thanks for the reminder WW - feeders are primed and at the ready - sunflowers hearts, mealworm suet blocks 'n' all
