There were some odd feathers lying around this morning so I think the sparrowhawk must be back again. |

| | | Re: Where have all me birds gone? our garden is usually very busy, if there's no twittering, feeding etc I know the Sprawk or Kestrel is around as we find feather rings about every other day around the place, usually Collared Dove remains but sometimes smaller birds, but it's not long before they all appear again, the only birds we seem to have missing at the moment are the Chaffinches and Yellowhammers we had loads earlier on, do they migrate

| | | Re: Where have all me birds gone? Yes, our local area was chirping and tweeting with chaffinches and yellowhammers during the spring and summer... but not now.
I know that in both species birds normally resident to uppermost northern parts often fly southwards during the winter....
