Where have all me birds gone?

I think my feeders and probably the busiest they have ever been.

There were some odd feathers lying around this morning so I think the sparrowhawk must be back again.

our garden is usually very busy, if there's no twittering, feeding etc I know the Sprawk or Kestrel is around as we find feather rings about every other day around the place, usually Collared Dove remains but sometimes smaller birds, but it's not long before they all appear again, the only birds we seem to have missing at the moment are the Chaffinches and Yellowhammers we had loads earlier on, do they migrate

Yes, our local area was chirping and tweeting with chaffinches and yellowhammers during the spring and summer... but not now.

I know that in both species birds normally resident to uppermost northern parts often fly southwards during the winter....

But as mentioned, its hard to tell, our weather is all over the place lately, I don't know if I'm coming or going and I'm sure the birdies don't either!
