Just hought I would share with you folks. Back from a weekend in London, went for a morning walk today in Hyde park. It was very dull and dreary... but my daughter asked "whats that bird there?"... Needless to say I got very distracted  but enjoyed watching him  He wasn't really up for photos, far too busy flitting about and rummaging in the leaves in between. Closest I have been to one though.... lovely bird

Jays are always a welcome sight, and they are a lot tamer in London Parks I find. Ive had one less than 6ft away in Regents Park. I was enjoying St. James Park this Saturday |

Thanks for the comments folks I'm trying to remember how enjoyable the park and shopping was as I struggle to get out of my seat!  (my hips are siezed!!!) Quote:

As you say the birds were much more used to people, in fact I watched a woman just standing with seed in her hand, the birds kept flitting up to get a piece!
