Hi Morph,

Such a pleasure to read the extracts you quoted from Birds As Individuals and thank you so much for the info.

I went straight to amazon and ordered that book and her other one called Living With Birds all for the grand total of £10.58 which includes postage to Ireland, too!
Both books are "used" but just one more wonderful way to recycle.

I can't say that my garden birds are tame enough to sit on my shoulder but some of the pigeons have taken food from my hand a few times and the little robins and tits are all over the place when I'm in the garden.

Can't wait to get the books now, and thanks again for the info.
