| | | A nightime wander Back in january an area of forest where I birdwatch was clear felled. All that remained was brash and the new saplings the FC had planted. I was hopeful Nightjar would move in. I visited in june where I heard 1 bird. Last saturday I returned and at 9.45pm I had a male flying in circles around me, he then landed on a post giving me great views.
This display was accomponied by the sound of a Long Eared Owl and its young from within the forest. And to top everything I was not on the midges menu! Gareth |
