| | | British Bird Watching Fair at Rutland water The British Bird Watching Fair at Rutland water is just on the horizon! Can't wait this year, I'm hoping the weather will hold out as we've been very lucky over the past four years. The Celebrity lecture sounds like it's gonna be a real laugh this time, as Ian Wallace is taking to the floor!
Hey John how about organising that WAB meet are there any plans as yet?
Maybe Sunday would be a better day for it?
What do you reckon?
Just starting to write my "wanted list" as, now I'm getting older the chances are I'll forget what I really wanted once I'm there!!
Is anyone else planning to do the Rutland Fair?
Tornado

| | | Re: British Bird Watching Fair at Rutland water I might go. Do you know when it starts and where exactly Rutland is, if it's too far I might not. . If I do go the weather is likely to be bad. Wherever I am bad weather tend to follow during the summer......not that I mind, really .

I'm planning on going Saturday, only time that weekend I can fit it in.
Have been for the last few years, it's a good day out.
Last year attended the talk by Simon King given by the birdforum it was excellent.
Lets hope for good weather about the only thing that can ruin it.
Would be a great idea if a meet could be arranged, if to late this year, how about next should give everyone chance to get it in their dairy

Mick | Hi Mick
If you were at the Simon King talk you would have been near me. I was one of those helping out at the Birdforum marquee (as I will be doing again this year).

Tornado | Sorry Tornado
I always spend the Saturday helping out with the Birdforum marquee. I have been on the Birdforum stand since its first showing 4 years ago. I am also organising a Birdforum Bird bash for when the fair is finishing on the saturday, possibly around 4 - 5pm. If anyone wants to join us they are more than welcome. As soon as I know what the arrangements will be I will let those that are interested know.

What a small world. Remember getting there early last year and meeting the forum people in the tent, sorry can't place you, but I am getting older.
If your there again I'll pop in and say hello, before i have to spend my money, like we all do at the fair
