| | | What's the Highest number of Whooper Swans You Have Seen? Me and my friend went to a patch of farmland today looking to get some last plants of the year. Guess what we got! 216whooper swans. they seemed to be feeding on the stubble left behind from the farmers harvest. Has anyone seen so many? |

| | | re: What's the Highest number of Whooper Swans You Have Seen? I've never actually counted them but there is often a goodly sized group feeding on stubble around the Fluke Hall area - and pink feet too......

| | | re: What's the Highest number of Whooper Swans You Have Seen? 1200+ regularly gather in front of the hide for the evening swan feed at Welney WWT Reserve here on the Cambs/Norfolk border - it's a spectacular sight!

Beautiful birds | These would have been Bewick's Swans as Slimbridge doesn't normally get Whoopers; the Wash is the most southerly regualr location for sizeable flocks. |
