Coal Tit Numbers

It is thought there is a "fall of Coal Tits" this year that is being overlooked because its such a fairly common bird, have your say.

If they arrive in my garden (which they did) then this "fall" of migrant birds is definitely real, in my opinion. Just an opinion

I haven't voted as I haven't seen a coalie yet - if I don't see one by the usual time I should (between now and mid-late December) then I will vote Lower than normal.

Don't normally see them until after Christmas, but this year there have been 2 around for the last couple of weeks.

There certainly does seem to be more around here at the mo. Had a few feeding on the garden feeders at home over the last few days as well as seeing a lot flittering among the trees at work.

Regularly upto 4 visiting feeders but we are very rural with pine wood to south

Seem to be the normal number around my feeders at the moment but as they are in and out so quickly, it's difficult to say if the same ones are nipping about, or if there are a few of them taking turns.

We've usually had a coal tit visit the garden for most of the time we have lived at this house and he was here again at the weekend.

It would be nice to get more though

There were loads and loads last week at Brownsea Island feeding on a feeding station put up the Beeb. I'd never seen so many.
