wear are my garden birds?

Been at home all day today and have hardly seen any birds. Lots of food out a mixed variety spread around the garden. Not even a wood pigeon Could this cold weather coming down be driving them southwards?

Probably driven them eastwards because my garden has been having the most visitors for months today

You can certainly have my starlings, there must have been at least twenty or so visiting together on and off all day in my garden! All the other birds don't stand a chance on the feeders when they're about

I had a reduction in numbers recently. With harvesting going on nearby and plenty of berries around they have just been behaving as birds should; but they are starting to return now. Particularly noticable with seed feeders like Chaffinches and greenfinches.

have the week off so I'll keep watching usually when there is a cold snap they feed voraciously just surprised that no wood pigeons came down that is very unusual

With some arctic air about to blast through in next couple of days the feeders may well become a lot busier. Remember to provide fresh water if it freezes.

I will have three water baths usually have to change regularly as once said missing wood pigeons have finished drinking they turn round on the edge and use it as a latrine
