I know it's not strictly a Brit species, but the Little Owl does it for me as they're bold and happy to let you see them during the day.

I love all owls, however, the sound of the tawny male and female in the woodland as you drop off to sleep is fantastic

My fav is the Barn Owl.

I love seeing them flying accross feilds, a marvoulous sight.

Mine would have to be the Eagle Owl that i was introduced to over at Aldenham park on a "Day out with Raptors.."

this bird was 17yrs old and had been hand reared from a chick...She was so tame and friendly ...being able to get so close was an experience i wont forget in a hurry..

It has to be the Barn Owl they are so photogenic

Eagle Owl for me. I've held one a couple of times and they're one impressive Bird. We also had one living wild in the area last year for a while and in the evening it would sit on a branch soaking up all the attention from people passing by.

Yep .. I've got to vote Eagle Owl too ....

I missed seeing them in Lancashire last year, due to having just had a knee replacement .. but have high hopes of getting across there in the New Year ..
