| | | RSPB Totally frustrated! Apologies in advance if I'm posting something I'm not supposed to but I'm so frustrated I don't quite know who to complain to.
I sent an order for several packs of bird food from the RSPB shop. Their terms say they should have arrived within 3-5 days. The parcel took 8 days and when iI opened it I found the fruity nibbles were missing. I rang RSPB and was told they would send them out. Again it would take 3-5 days. After a further 8 days I rang them (today) to be told there was a memo on the order to send them but they hadn't actioned it so they would put another memo on it and I should get them within 3-5 days. I said this was unacceptable and asked to speak to customer services. The person I spoke to sounded rather amused and I was told they were all too busy but someone would phone me back. Of course, they haven't.
I know it's a small amount but I cannot afford to buy more. I don't know who in the RSPB I can write to in order to make a complaint. |

I'm fussy who gets my money and the rspb is one, but when they throw it in your face is hugely dissappointing and insulting.
Hope the manor gets resolved. |

| | | Re: RSPB Totally frustrated! Hi DING ..
I agree this level of service is totally unacceptable .. (not that it surprises me) ..
I'd be writing to Graham Wynne, Chief Executive at the RSPB HQ at Sandy .. (full address on their website) .. outlining your experience so far ... and informing him that a copy of your letter will also be going to the Editors of all the better know "Birding" Mags in the UK ...
That should galvanize someone into action ..
PS .. Send your letter "Recorded Delivery" .. then they can't deny ever receiving it ...
Good luck ..
Bye for now ..
Kev ..

| | | Re: RSPB Totally frustrated! That's a terrible shame I use Wild About Nature
Very reasonable and came up as cheaper than RSPB. I order lunchtime one day and it usually arrives the next afternoon. The nuts are all bto approved etc. I trapsed around a few shops on the weekend, including a well known diy store in the hope that nuts etc are now onsale. However, even with postage, w about nature worked out cheaper for 6kgs nuts.

Kev .. | Hi Ding,
I'm so sorry to hear about your experience re bird food. Who ever you spoke to does the RSPB a huge disservice. I'm sure that Graham Whynne will be less than happy to hear about what's happened to you. I use to work for the RSPB, but now I vollunteer for them and I am appalled at the way you have been treated. I am passionate about the RSPB, but less than happy to hear about your experience! I would follow Kev's advice and I can only say how very sorry I am that you have been treated this way.

| | | Re: RSPB Totally frustrated! Thank you all so much for your support. I definitely will write. I waited all day hoping someone would contact me but they didn't. Like so many people I wanted to support the RSPB but this experience has made me think twice. I will let you all know what response I get (if any). |

| | | Re: RSPB Totally frustrated! err - just to put another balance to this oeoeoeoe service - the good old RSPB sent some wrong and broken items to us, we rang to complain and they sent them out again, new, and were fine, no charge.
Hey ho.

| | | Re: RSPB Totally frustrated! Just to re-assure you that you're not alone DING ..
I too am an RSPB Volunteer & "Outdoor Events" organiser for my local RSPB Members Group .. our Group Leader wrote to RSPB several weeks ago,to clarify matters concerning Insurance and Health & Safety issues for the use of private hire Mini-buses on Group trips ..
We still await either acknowledgement of our letter or the courtesy of a reply ...
Bye for now ..
Kev ..
