Birding near Sheffield
Hello everybody.

New to WAB and looking for some local advice. I am in Sheffield next week and may have a free afternoon. I was wondering if anybody could recommend some good sites close to Sheffield to do a bit of birding.
Obviously the peak district beckons but as I have such a short amount of time it would be useful to have a few pointers.
The only difficulty is that I will not have a car so wherever it is will need to be reasonably easy to get to via public transport or via push bike.

Many thanks in advance.

PS Whoever recommended Wheeting Heath a few weeks ago to see Stone Curlews-thanks. A lovely site, some great views and a great day out.
