Good morning all,
This duck has thrown me. I cannot find anything that matches the plumage. I guess I shall be kicking myself when the ID is known though  .

Yep, drake Gadwall. A scarce duck when I started birdwatching as a boy, but these days much more common + a delight to see close up. |
