| | Re: Diving Gulls Hi Dai,
amazing - not seen blackheadeds do that before!
Most gulls land on the water then scrabble head down - how high did they drop from?
What food - shoal of fish? Unlike sawbills and Gannets, who have razor-like beak edges to grip, wouldnt fish slip from gulls if they are catching underwater as opposed to picking dead ones from behind trawlers etc? (or fish and chips of course).
Some crossbreeding with Gannets or Terns do you think?

| | | Re: Diving Gulls That dive in the first shot is amazing, there is so little water disturbance. Like a needle into... something that needles go into with very little disturbance. Butter? |
