new birds!

this is just a thread to express my joy!

i've been seeing loads of new birds in the last week on Monday i saw a kingfisher and wrens
Tuesday i saw bullfinches in the garden again, and they were fighting with greenfinches!
then today i saw my first ever long tailed tit , i saw the bullfinch in the garden again AND i saw some juv goldfinches in the garden as well as the first thrush in the garden in years
the only bad luck i had was that i never had my camera with me

Now, that's just the sort of thing that always happens to me !

For example, we very occasionally get a visit from Sparrowhawks in our garden. You can guarantee 100% they'll visit when I don't have the camera anywhere near me.

We also had the rare treat of a pair of bramblings visit our feeders last winter. My husband didn't believe me when I told him what I'd seen, and it took a whole month to get my 'evidence' to show him .

ye i get sparrowhawks occasionally to, i had a real treat the other day when it sat in view of our window on the next door neighbors lawn and ate the blackbird it had just caught for twenty minutes! these magpies started harassing it, but it just carried on eating it for ages!
luckily for me though, i did have my camera with me this time
