| | | Wheatears We have had a lot of these little chaps passing through over the last few weeks. Maybe a few more than previous years.
I did managed to get a few pictures, when I could get one to sit still for long enough. |

| | | Re: Wheatears Always love seeing these little chaps- the main passage seems to have gone though here now as numbers have slackened off over last week. |

| | | Re: Wheatears I watched them arrive in Langstone Harbour in February/March and they have started to arrive back on their return passage from the beginning of September. They seem to be grouping in the fields and shoreline at Southmoor. I have seen them every day and have counted groups of about 10 birds. I guess that now that the high pressure has come in that they will soon be off. They are really beautiful birds. Here are a few shots taken this month.

| | | Re: Wheatears I took a walk up Ludworth Moor on the Sth east outskirts of Manchester on the 18th Sept, there's was still some coming down from the north, saw a flock of 8 so there's more on the way for you down there.
Was up at Malham Cove/Tarn Yorks 16th Aug and saw very good numbers so perhaps there are a few more than previous years.

| | | Re: Wheatears There are still a number of these at Langstone harbour. Would have hought they would have left before now but I guess the present weather conditions are encouraging them to stay a bit longer.
