| | | Unidentified bird of prey
I saw this large bird of prey flying in the adjacent field, I normally only see small falcons out here on the Lincolnshire coast. By the time I had fetched my camera he had landed two fields away so apologies for the zoomed grainy image.
Any ideas please

It was just that yelow/orange line on his tail or line of his wing that made me wonder.
Thanks Patrick |

And welcome to WAB ...
I don't know which part of the Lincs coast you're on .. but if you like Raptors then Horseshoe Point (between Cleethorpes & Donna Nook) & very close to the village of Northcotes is a great place ...
With regular sightings of Peregrine, Marsh Harrier & Short-eared Owl ...
According to one reliable report today .. there's also a Spoonbill in the area ...
Bye for now ..
Kev ..

I am from the other end of the county not far from Gibraltar point, I do go to Donna nook at set times of the year for the different wildlife, looks like I am going a bit further down the road to Horseshoe Point now as well.
Thanks

| | | Re: Unidentified bird of prey Yes a Buzzard, would have been better if we had improved image quality as decent numbers of rough legged buzzard have been seen along the easy coast in the past couple of weeks. |
