| | | Unknown seabird on River Clyde I would be grateful if anyone could identify this bird, seen on the Clyde on Sun 14/9/08. It had a mate and a (cheeping) juvenile swimming close by. The juvenile looked the same, just smaller, with a shorter neck. Is it a diver? I can't find a match in my bird references. Many thanks. |

| | | Re: Unknown seabird on River Clyde Thanks, everyone. I've seen quite a few of these birds on the river lately. And then I saw this news article about the poor starving guillemots attacking each other's chicks: Seabird chicks 'killed over food'. I guess the chick I saw was one of the fortunate ones, even although he/she seemed very hungry. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
