Exclamation Red Kites & Reintroduction...

To all,
I'm currently undergoing some research for my final years project - which is based around the subject of reintroduction of native species back to the UK (with a main focus on Red Kites).

I am currently asking people to complete a very brief survey of mine...so if any of you would be willing - I would be extremely grateful

Kind Regards
Jay

Also, if anyone has any images that they'd be willing for me to use in the dissertation, please message me the link and your full name - so app picture credit, & copyright can be added

Just done your survey. If you want you can go to my website and download the Red Kite images, just let me know if you use them.

Re: Red Kites & Reintroduction...

Hiya,
Just did the survey.
I haven't any images though, unfortunately.
In fact, I've yet to see a red kite myself! I think that will be high up there on my 'to do' list next year!

Hi Jay,

Good topic for your paper. The Red-Kite projects seem to have been very beneficial for that species, and in getting public attention in general. Does your paper have any conclusions yet?

Re: Red Kites & Reintroduction...

Thanks Dai, much appreciated – if possible could you message me your name/initials? As it’s essential for us to reference all images sourced, university regulations etc...
Rob D, for the project I’m looking into the reintroduction of red kites (mainly) but also the possibility of introducing further species. So far there’s been a very good response to the survey (thanks to everyone), but the results so some interesting points so far...
For example, the opinion on reintroducing some large carnivores back seems split 50/50, and a very small proportion think it’s our responsibility to reintroduce species that WE have made extinct.
If anyone would be willing to pass the survey link on to their contacts I would be grateful, the more people that contribute, the more accurate the survey will be as it will give a good impression on the countries opinion on a whole
Thanks again
Jaime
