Owl Pellet?

Never seen an owl pellet in my life and then this year I have found two!!!!

This one was found on top of a 3 foot concrete pillar (Ordenance survey Triangulation station) in the middle of a ploughed field.

It is grey, has plenty of bones and fur and is very lightweight (like polystyrene).




Any ideas on which owl?

I think it is a short-eared owl, as it was found in the middle of a field, albeit a ploughed one and this is where you would expect to find their pellets. You said it was very light, which is also typical of the Short-eared owl and the pellet size fits as well.
