Around a few of my local reserves, started off as a Kingfisher day but after 4 hours at Mere Sands Wood where a second brood has fledged recently culminating in a very active session with five flying around at once. But they were too hyper to perch anywhere close except for a couple of seconds on the nearest perch which everyone missed

.
So got fed up and went to Martin Mere

Where The first thing i saw was
and she, or so i was informed. stayed around for a good few hours so everybody had a chance to see. Then more surprise visitors, 3 Little Egrets, my closest sighting
Even managed some flight shots
I had record shots of Greenshank, Little Ringed Plover and Sparrowhawk but to cap it all a couple of the juvenile female Peregrines from Scarisbrick Grammar School were causing a ruckus
And arguing over lunch
Sisters are doing it for themselves................................Apparent ly
