| | Very active nursery This is the nursery: http://www.pictureinthesky.net/pics/houserear.jpg
The red circles are the entrances to the nests that I'm aware of so far. My bedroom is the loft conversion and if I carefully peek through the window I can watch them playing on the guttering and singing.
I'm a little confused here as I think one lot of young has already got to the stage of being taught how to fly etc. as I've seen two adult birds (one male, one female) and at least three others with what appears to be juvenile plumage - extremely fluffy light brown plumage sticking out of their colored feathers (not managed to get a decent pic of them yet)
I've also seen them mating on the guttering and phone cable that heads out across the road and bringing back nest materials. Its been fascinating to watch when they're only a metre away from me. So many of them as well!
Here are some more pics I've managed to take...

02: http://www.pictureinthesky.net/pics/m_sparrow_01.jpg
03: http://www.pictureinthesky.net/pics/m_sparrow_02.jpg
01: Knew I was there and kept glancing at me
02: Bringing back some twigs for the nest
03: Sat on the wire looking around cleaning himself
First two pics a bit "misty" as they were taken through glass. I hope I've got the male and female the right way round. I can also hear the chicks in the roof chirping away like mad when the parents return.
Exciting stuff!!! |

I've got a load more but chose the best 3 and cropped them. Even on full optical zoom with them being a metre away I can't seem to get close enough to them.
Need a new camera... |

| | | Re: Very active nursery I can't remember what the proper name is for it (a hide?) but I've put a blanket over the inside of the lower window and with the window open, have covered the gap with a small hole so I can watch them without any risk of disturbing them.

| | | Re: Very active nursery I wish I had the money to but its a little thin right now.
I'm off work ill for two weeks and due to a "complication" I'm having severe problems getting any sick pay - makes me so mad I could bite the head off a jelly baby, shake my head vigorously and spit it out across the room.
Apologies for that graphic detail but when you're missing out on almost £600 its not funny.
