One-legged Great Tit

Got a quick snap of this little chap - a very dark wooded area so a poor pic. He was flying about and perching on various branches very adeptly so had obviously got used to only having one leg. Has anyone else seen how well birds adapt to loss of a body part?

Hello I suppose if there born with one leg they know no different, he looks healthy all the same. shei

A few years ago, I had a one-and-a-half-legged blue tit in the garden. He used to hang on to the nutfeeder well enough with one leg and seemed to be doing ok in general.

There's a Red Deer (Hind) on Exmoor with only three feet,must have caught it on a fence when only a baby.
Johnny Kingdom has footage on one of his DVD's & i saw a hind the other day limping so presume it's the same one
