Kingfisher Session

If anyone is in West Lancashire on saturday and wants to meet up,a couple of us are going to Mere Sands Wood to try and get some views and pictures of the local celebrities. I at least, will be spending most of the day in the Rufford Hide, which i believe has been pretty busy of late as word has gotten around about how these chaps are being very forward and helpful to we humble snappers. If it's not too busy in there i will probably be asleep in the corner

That looks like an Azure Kingfisher so much (kingfishers we get here in Aus)! The blue is a different shade, but other than that they look very similar!

Yes the blue is a very azure colour on our fishers especially when they catch the sunlight.
This one was sat in the rain and the pic was digi-scoped so not a lot of light but it worked out ok.

Hehe, "Azure Kingfisher" is the name of a type of kingfisher we get here; I was talking about it, not the colour! But it is a lovely photo!
