| | | Grey Heron This was as close as I could get across the river. I had to move away from the bush behind which I was sheltering to get a clear view. The crow was originally quite a distance from the heron but gradually came nearer.
I obviously spooked the heron (but not the crow), and it took off in its slow but majestic manner, finally disappearing upstream
