hurt pigeon

i have a young pigeon in my garden who appears to have hurt its leg, and it does not seem to be able to fly,its mum was with it last night for a little while,but it is hiding in the side of my garden,and we don't know what to do. we have a cat as well but at the moment we are not letting it out,we can't bear to think of it dying!

There's not much you can do but let nature take over, unless you have pots of money to throw at it, (no, not the bird, the vet).

my husband has put it out of reach from our cat,but so its mum can still get to it,and given it cat biscuits soaked in water.
