can anyone help identify this bird of prey seen recently hovering over hertfordshire countryside?  |

Buzzard - I see them quite regularly near the A41 between Watford and Berkhamsted.

Pretty good image I would say Buzzard but the birders will make a proper pronouncement

thanks, that's what we thought it could be
it was making a very high pitched "pee pee pee" type sound.
does that fit too? |

does that fit too? | Yep, wld say buzzard and that sound can resemble a faintly mewing cat which is similar to the pee pee pee.
