Egg Identification Help

[b]Hey, this is my first post.

Today I found two eggs on the floor in a wooded area next to a road. One was broken and the other still intact, I could not find the nest closeby so took the egg home.

At the moment I have it under a desk lamp wrapped in loose kitchen roll.

The egg is roughly an inch in length, white with a very faint pinky tone, and if i look REALLY close most of the middle section of it is paler, the ends are more pinky, looks almost like its been scratched from the inside, thats what the pattern of it looks like.

I cant find any good egg identification websites, if anyone has any idea of what this egg is or a good website that could help me, please reply

I can only guess, but I'm wondering if it was a Mistle thrush. Think this is an old egg, as it's a bit late in the season for egg laying now.

i would say a collered dove or a woodpigeon. mistle thrush is speckled.
