Kingfishers! like buses, you wait three months for one to sit just right then three come along at once

.went to Martin Mere at two this afternoon for two hours and not one picture, then another hour at Mere Sands Wood with only the tail end of one rapidly flying away from me and two more distant views at the far end and i thought.maybe it's doing the full circuit and will appear flying in from the right.
Then one shoots out from the trees on the left about 20 feet away

and lands somewhere over to my right,so there i am talking to myself (yes i am all alone) saying come on just come over here, we all do it, when two of them come back and land almost in the same spot, out of sight of course

a few minutes later there is a big kerfuffle and one shoots out flying right and i follow it clicking away in vain without realising the other is sitting on a branch in front of me about 10 feet away.Cue panic, quick adjustment, can't find it,ISO is up at 800 ,shutter speed is showing 1/90,To cut a long story long

Not!
This is the best i could manage
Might have to try a bit more processing on those, still ,not bad
