| | | I think i saw an eagle today
As I was driving along today near great dunmow, essex I looked up to see a bird circling over a field.
It looked to have a wing span of about a metre,was brown, had spread finger like wing tips and its beak curved down.
I thought it must of been a crow but the more I looked I don't think it was.
Could this possibly of been an eagle in essex? |

shouldn't think that was likely ,probably a buzzard ,the size is about right

Could you have been near a Falconry venue? ,if not it was probably a common

Almost certainly a Buzzard, I regularly see Buzzards between Bishop’s Stortford and Dunmow, also between Saffron Walden & Dunmow. |

I would say Buzzard too. They do look similar to Golden Eagles in flight, in fact in Scotland Buzzards are known as the tourists Eagle. Both fantastic Birds though so I would be pleased to see either.
