| | | Bird I.D. required Hi all,
As this is my first post, I must say what a superb web site! I found the site through Google whilst trying to identify a bird which I'd recently photographed. Normally, I specialise in Landscape photography, but occasionally seek out wildlife. This bird walked to within six feet of me, so it seemed relatively tame, but I have never seen anything like it before. I'm sure someone here could identify what this little guy is. Thanks in advance,

It's a Muscovy Duck, a semi domestic/foreign national. Have a look in the gallery and you should be able to find more pics there. |

Nice pic of your Muscovy .... I always think these have just escaped from the local burns unit when I see their faces .... not the prettiest of birds in my opinion!

Alan's ID is 100% correct .... Muscovy Duck.
Enjoy your time here and I look forward to you adding some landscape photos to the gallery.

| | | Re: Bird I.D. required Thank you, all, for the welcome into the Forum, and to Alan for his prompt response to my dilema. As I say, landscape photography is more my interest, and I will get around to posting some images from Dorset in the near future. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
