| | | Some flights shots one morning I took advantage of the one fine day on Thursday and went on my usual yomp along the River Great Ouse and around some of the Fen Drayton lakes. It was a fairly quiet start and I resorted to this Carrion Crow
I made my way down to the river where I saw a kingfisher fly from where I think the nest is located, but I lost it. I hung around, in vain (are you reading this, GeoffH!) when this Grey heron flew downstream. I later heard and saw it being mobbed by a couple of rooks
It was time for a coffee break when I saw some Little Egrets flying overhead. There seems to be a gang of four hanging around the various lakes
Common Terns were bombing around and this one was hovering - not a close-up, but I like the pose
I had met someone earlier who mentioned his surprise at the apparent lack of hobbies in view of the number of swifts flying above. Not long after, this one flew around overhead, making me dizzy trying to keep it in my viewfinder. This is the best of several snaps that I managed
