Thats a cracking shot Stan. I`ve never seen one of these, despite there being a few around here.

Re: Little Owl

Fantasic shot of a beautiful Owl. I always remember talking about Little Owls to my children. They thought the Owls in question were named something else. I had to explain to them that they are literally called Little Owl.

Re: Little Owl

Hi Mark

thanks for looking. I dont think I have ever been fortunate enough to see any owl in the wild so it is nice to go to somewhere like BWC or HCT to see them up close

Demicav - you can imagine saying "see that lillte owl over there", yes but what is it called

Re: Little Owl

What a lovely shot Stan. I was fortunate enough to see one of these beauties on Sunday just near Leighton Moss RSPB. I was looking for a Peregrine (which I later saw) but found one of these little guys instead. When I get round to downloading the pics at home I'll upload onto here. I was nowhere near close enough to get much detail, just a record shot really so it's great to see your fantastic image. Cheers

Re: Little Owl

Will do, as soon as I get chance to get on my home PC and sort through the pics. I know it won't be a great pic though as it was quite some distance away on a crag face. It was fantastic to watch them through a friend's zeiss scope though. I could have stayed all day

I have a number of shots like that which although probably nowhere near perfect, I like to keep just to show i saw the particular bird.
