| | | Kingfisher Paydirt Three months of waiting paid off,
Yes it was a bit windy, why three months i hear you ask, well the hide i was in three months ago had two tiers and when i was in the top tier and the kingfisher arrived and my best picture did not include the head,so i vowed from then on to go into the lower tier which resulted in a period of profitable results from Stoats to hen harriers but until today ,not kingfisher |

| | | Re: Kingfisher Paydirt Lovely photo. I saw my first and only Kingfisher a few moths ago. I went out with someone who had seen one regular in the same spot and when they said "look there it is" I couldn't belive my eyes. No camera with me at the time and it must have moved on to breed but I have a feeling it will be back.

| | | Re: Kingfisher Paydirt Nice work Frank, especially from a public hide and presumably at some distance. Also, full marks for perseverance - patience is certainly the key with Kingfishers

| | | Re: Kingfisher Paydirt Thanks for all the comments,i was in the Ron Barker hide in the lower so the wooden fence didn't obscure the upper half.I tried Mere Sands Wood in the Redwing hide today to try and get a closer shot but the nearest i came was a blue backside disappearing across the mere.Them's the vagaries As Half Man Half Biscuit would say | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
