It's the same with my real favourites, Tom and Jerry. We all loved it when Tom bashed Jerry.....didn't we? I did anyway.

Re: Help - Cat raiding nest!

you could try a ring of bleach or similar on the ground around the bottom of the hedge the smell will probably be enough to keep the cat away i have tried this in the bottom of bin bags with meat in etc and have not had a bag ripped open for months slightly less extreme than killing it.

Bleach is a deadly toxin and will kill all plant life in the imediate area. Then the bush the birdies live in will absorb the poison and the berries (assuming the bush has berries) will be poisonous and will kill the birds and anything else that eats them. Then the bleach will proceed to penitrate the soil and eventually seep in to a river only to kill the fishes and so on...
Untill the whole earth has been poisoned. Bleach is not a good idea.

All jokin aside tho, just use some cat pepper.

Won't be much of a learning process if it catches both parents and chicks, well I suppose it would be a positive experience for the cat

Its a substance supposed to deter cats, they don't like citrus fruit like orange skins, pelleted chicken poo, or bottles filled with water so they can see their reflection.
The cat pepper and chicken poo will need reapplication after rainfall.

Hope this helps..
