Yeah, on one of the photos it looks like a juvenile Goldfinch, just hiding the yellow flashes on the wings from that camera angle  |

There is something very linnet like about the patches of paler feathers on the head - at the moment I'm saying linnet. |

PeterD - See Image - Juvenile goldfinch - Goldfinch - Carduelis carduelis - ARKive as this shows a juv Goldie. I think it's the most likely. The black tail is the most indicative.

Thank you all for your comments. I am agreeing with those offering Linnet as the ID. I have compared this with the Goldfinch which was also suggested but the body plumage colour/pattern does not match my image.
