Bird ID

I just saw a bird and thought someone here might know what it was. From where I was it looked completely black (definately not a pied wagtail) but it was wagging it's tail just like a wagtail. It was also about twice the size of a pied. Any ideas?

Well I'll stick my neck out and say the only one that comes to mind, which is a blackbird. They sometimes (not as much as a wagtail) twitch or wag their tail.

Perhaps, I was some distance away from the bird. It was wagging quite alot though! Perhaps it was just excited haha.

Yep, I'd agree. Sounds like a Blackbird and blackbird behaviour

Yup I feel a bit silly now haha! I was just far away and thought it might be something unusual...oh well! He was just an excited blackbird dancing about
