| | | Bird with yellow rings Hi,
Whilst in a neighbours house today, watching the birds feeding we saw two different species of birds we haven't seen before. We're not serious bird watchers so our experience of birds is far from extensive.
One of the birds was very dark and had yellow rings around its eyes. Is this a species or a peculiarity over several species?
The other birds were all of the same type and what looked like a family. I really didn't get a good enough look but they were considerable larger that a thrush, but had the same sort of colouring.
Can anyone help, please? |

Thanks to all | don't worry I've done the same, it's amazing when we see something every day we don't always notice the finer details unless we take the time to sit and watch, I'm learning more about wildlife since I stopped working than ever before
