Re: Is this a Jay?

Yes, it's a Jay. I find they are a bit shy around here and I have not managed to get a decent photo yet!

Re: Is this a Jay?

Hello aharrold, and a warm welcome to WAB

Yes as said your bird is a Jay - Garrulus glandarius.

A small and very colourful member of the crow family that is particulary fond of acorns. A bird that is often heard but not seen. The call a very rough grating squark, once heard unmistakable.

...... is that ok Mark

.. gold star this time please
