Grey in flight that I liked (posted in bird of the day thread)

Not necessarily the best of pics (bit too far away/ cropped and the sun was v bright so some slightly overexposed) but I was still pleased with them and I really enjoyed watching them hunting for food and bobbing around. Next time i'll take my tripod and try to get some better shots (now I know where to look). Hope you enjoy them too

Nice shots Gareth, I have them on the river at the bottom of my garden and I enjoy watching their antics, especially catching flies in midair, their tails never stop wagging.

Thanks for all the kind comments everyone - glad you like them I did enjoy watching them, great characters. Brought on my hayfever no end though! (presume the grasses along the bank, not the birds lol) Still suffering now

Hi Gareth, that's a lovely shot of the Grey in flight. I think the greys are a great little bird although they can be difficult to photograph with the constant bobbing and tail flicking.
