| | | A grebe called Spike
Some may remember that I proudly announced the birth of our new grandson back in April.
I am delighted to say that he and his parents are fine.
When he was born, he had shock of black that stood up straight from his scalp. I nicknamed him 'Spike'.
I was out last week when this Great Crested Grebe popped up out of the water with his crest wet through and standing up as though he had applied gell. I immediately thought of our grandson and called the bird 'Spike' as well. Both Spikes are handsome fellas 
It amused me, anyway, and, I believe, his parents.
