Pheasant Chick

Took a trip to Wildfowl and Wetlands, Arundel over the weekend, where we found a pheasant with 7 chicks under her wing. Caught this as one came out for a wander

Re: Pheasant Chick

Hi Gareth

Thanks very much and for the welcome. I really enjoy the challenges of wildlike photography, particularly birds and macro with insects, so plenty more to come

Regards

Stan

Re: Pheasant Chick

What a gorgeous photo and really clear as well, excellent quality. I've never seen a Pheasant chick before, didn't realise they were so cute. I usually just see the adults wandering dangerously close to the road. Welcome to WAB Stan. I wil certainly be on the lookout for more good pics in the future.

Welcome Stan,
Good shot, I have never seen a pheasant chick either but lots of adults around here. They are cute.

Two of my favourite subjects for photography so I'll look forward to seeing them!

Re: Pheasant Chick

Hi Again

I didn't say i was good

No I have a few shots which are worth looking at and will post soon. In the meantime can someone confirm whether this forum is restricted to native british birds in the wild or including other birds you may find captive - I am a member of Wildfowl and Wetlands and also Hawk Conservancy Trust

Re: Pheasant Chick

Hi Stan,

If they are british then they can go in the gallery under the relevant sections (captive or not). If they are foreign and captive (like some at the WWT's) then you can upload them into the 'archive' section under forum images (actually, pretty much anything can go in this!) so you can post them in a thread for us to admire

Think that's right
