Got Back tonight from a holiday in Pitlochry weather was TERRIBLE
need help in the id taken in a mixed wood had alook in books think I should Know this one can cannot put my finger on it so over to you guys,

That looks like a tit was going to say blue but it looks a bit odd

Thanks Chris I knew I should have known this brain not in gear its been swamped by the rain what was off putting was the dark stripe thru the eyes and the lack of other colour as it seemed mostly yellowy green like greenfinch type colouring

Yep, the youngsters are very yellowy, but the one in your pic' looks even extra yellowy! I suspect it is very fresh out of the nest.

Oh Bill you have my sympathy, a wet holiday is a trial. My first holiday with Christine was 2 weeks sat in a car watching it rain, our tent was ... inadequate, the car was... ancient, we were ... ecstatic. Nearly 40 years ago, but adversity builds bonds.
