| | Bird images & sounds/calls on a mobile phone? I have the "Birdguides - iDentify British Birds" CD which works fine on my PC using iTunes.
I'd like to be able to be able to view the images and listen to the sounds/calls whilst out and about but don't want to fork out for an iPod solely for this purpose.
I can transfer the sounds/calls to my Nokia 6300 and listen to them quite clearly - but have yet to work out how to view the images of individual species (which are embedded in the mp3 files). I believe that the embedded images are referred to as "album art".
Has anyone succeeded - or achieved something similar - either with a Nokia 6300 or some other make/model of phone.

I have the European birds CD on my Nokia N95. I find it really useful for birdwatching.
Album art could be an issue with the images not getting synched properly? Are you using Nokia Music Manager in the PC Suite? If the original files get converted in the synch, then that might explain the loss of the album art. Unfortunately I have lost the original CD, so can't really play around much. Sorry not to be any help. |

How did you download the files onto your phone? I have this CD and I would like to get them onto my phone (Samsung D600) but don't know how, please explain. |

I haven't used a Samsung for ages. There is some software for the PC. If you didn't get it with the phone, you can download it here Samsung Mobile UK | Support | Software & Manuals | PC Studio 3.1
It should let you connect to your phone (best to use a USB cable if you can, much easier than Bluetooth!). Then you should be able to use the "Multimedia Manager" to arrange the files onto your phone. Be interested if you can get the images to display! Hope this helps. |

| | | Re: Bird images & sounds/calls on a mobile phone? Thanks Rob, I'll have a play tonight. Just noticed though my phone only has 81 mb memory so not enough for the CD, will have to upgrade it to one that takes an SD card I suppose... | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
