| | | Bird Feed What is the best bird feed to attract any bird bar sparrows to the garden ?
I love sparrows but thats all i get and i want to try and get a more diverse ammount of wildlife into the garden.
Any suggestions?

P.S. Due to ratty problems ground feeders are no use.

P.S Is it true that you should avoid peanuts at this time of year to avoid juviniles choking on them?

I wouldn't buy a niger feeder I have one that is never used. Put up a nut feeder you get blue tits and starlings on them and either black sunflower seeds or sunflower hearts. You will attract greenfinches and chaffinches and if your lucky goldfinches and longtail tits. |

Yes - but okay if you crush them or put them in a wire mesh feeder so the birds can't get whole nuts out.
