| | | Re: Biologists call for balloon ban Good. And they can start on fireworks when they're done with the balloons. (Aren't I little Grinch tonight? haha ).
I was in a local park with my friends a few months ago and we were taking photos of the pigeons when we noticed one with that horrible metallic plastic ribbon round it's leg .
We managed to get it off with very little effort (one person stood on the long end so as not to distress the bird too much and it managed to untangle itself) but....aaggh!! Humans drive me nuts sometimes!

agree totally, balloons I have a phobia of any way, and what a mass of litter. Councils encouraging us to recycle and then dumping balloons in the enviroment .
Don't get me started on fireworks my poor dog has been in such a state 12. 40 am last night for twenty minutes, someone thought it was a good idea for them my dog was shivering, panting hiding under the bed so scared

| | | Re: Biologists call for balloon ban I picked up two balloons yesterday that were blowing across the field, it is a common occurance, if they are left in the field the stock will pick them up, I've never known a problem with the animals but It can't do them much good.
A few years ago I picked one up with a card hanging beneath it, It was from a little girl in Belgium, asking for whoever found it to let her know where it was found. My wife replied but we heard nothing from her. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
