| | | Re: Nesting Robins At first we thought it was in a bush, but this morning my wife cleared the grass around it. The Robins just hung around with full beaks. I then called my wife in and we watched from the conservatory. One at a time, the adults went into a hole just beside the path. They came out empty. I have been watching all day. I thought it was strange, thats why I came on here. |

| | | Re: Nesting Robins That is unusual, is it an old mole run or something, apart from the obvious hazards, under paths is a favourite place for things like red or black ants, and other creepy crawlies which I would have thought would make nesting a bit unpleasant and also if it rains hard they could get deluged, It's great they are doing so well, be carefull if you take any pictures as suggested as I had a thread removed that contained an innocent picture of a nest taken in my garden after someone moaned that it could tempt others to disturb nests trying to get that perfect picture etc , yet after watching Springwatch, if that doesn't encourage nest hunters I don't know what will
