Little Egret

I saw this bird yesterday at one of the Fen Drayton Lakes. I trudged through the mud and tried to get closer on several occasions - these are the best two pictures





Different tree, different leg.

Having had my encounter with the barn owl, I then saw the Little Egret again just across the river - still quite long distance as the water was high and the lower banks flooded





We do have them hereabouts, usually a group of up to half a dozen.
