| | | Night-singing birds? Well its nearly 3 a.m, the moon is a weird peachy colour with a halo round it and there is a bird singing/whistling/chirruping happily in the trees by the garden....... It doesn't sound at all like a nightingale, and I was wondering if anyone might have any suggestions what it could be? |

I have often heard them singing before daybreak. This is only a guess mind

| | | Re: Night-singing birds? I think you're too far west for Nightingales. I've heard Robin, Blackbird and Sedge warbler singing at night, could be one of those?

| | | Re: Night-singing birds? From my experience, up here, robins start singing earliest with blackies soon after.

| | | Re: Night-singing birds? Thanks for the replies, I had a feeling there weren't any Nightingales here.... the song seemed to have all sorts of different bits and pieces to it. I think I need to start learning about birds, rather than just concentrating on flowers! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
