Hi everyone what a great web site. Can anyone help with the id of this bird. I saw it in tunstal forest suffolk on sunday 4th june. It was about the same size as a wren and flitted around very quickly from bush to bush.I belive it to be some type of warbler but am not sure.

Hi Nick, can't be totally sure but looks like a Garden Warbler.
Seems a little too "brown" to be a Whitethroat to me but hey I can be corrected!

whitethroat's are quite brown and garden warblers don't have such a pale throat. I think it's a female rather than a male as you're right in that it seems to lack the grey head of the male.
